CAN YOU SPELL D-I-S-I-N-F-O-R-M-A-T-I-O-N?

News reporting on "intelligence failures" relating to 9/11 are either embarassingly naive or obvious disinformation so poorly done that it insults the intellegence of the terrorists we claim we are fighting. It baffles me that the media accepts at face value information originating with the intelligence community or relating to its sources and methods. The two articles linked below are only two of many recent examples. Even hicks like me in "fly over" states aren't stupid enough to believe that government is going to engage in accurate and honest debate on these issues. Clarke may have lied in his testimony? I'm shocked and appalled! See my related post of 8/5/03 entitled 16 Words. GOP Moves to Declassify Clarke Testimony.doc Rice Discusses Terror.doc

OK, I THINK I'M BACK.
(The shitstorm that is my life has not abated, but I'm starting to come to terms with it.)

Today, the subject is theology, specifically the capacity for the existence of a good God in light of the Holocaust, an event which has caused so many in the Jewish tradition to lose their faith. I stumbled across the piece by a Professor Leventhal linked below that argues for God’s existence notwithstanding the tragedy of the Holocaust. And, I happen to be auditing a theology course. So I sent the Leventhal article to the Professor together with my comments on the issue, also linked below.
